A Propos / About

La Casa d'Italia is the historical reference point for the Italian community and is a living testimony of the great cultural, social and economic contribution that our community has made to Montreal, and to Quebec.

With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and all the problems associated with it, it has been a difficult period marked by the challenge of remaining operational.

Despite all this, the Casa d'Italia has remained active, organising

Faced with the growing social needs of the community, La Casa d'Italia seeks to play a role in the well-being of its members. For this reason, we organise annual food collections, the elements of which are offered to citizens or community centres.

In 2020 we collected and distributed almost 470dz of fresh eggs, collected almost 10 000$ of food (meat, peanut butter, basic necessities).
We also distributed 4 tons of flour.

All these actions demonstrate the social involvement of the Casa and its willingness to support the Italian-Canadian community.
